What to Keep, What to Shred and When

Disposing of personal documents correctly is the best way to avoid identity theft.

Utility bills, tax records, receipts there are a lot of paper trails to your sensitive information. Celeste Spencer with Navigator Credit Union stopped by with some tips on what kind of documents you should keep safe and which ones you should shred.

Join us for a FREE Community Shred Day, Saturday, June 18th at the Walmart Supercenter at Sangani Blvd in D’Iberville. Bring up to two boxes or bags, up to 50lbs of documents you’d like safely and securely shredded. NEWS 25 and Navigator Credit Union team members will be on hand to help lift the boxes/bags from your trunk and take them to the shredder.  Drive-thru between 7a.m. and 11 a.m. This event is for residents only, no businesses are allowed.
