National Voter Registration Day

Today is National Voter Registration Day. As we prepare for the upcoming election, many Americans are still not registered to vote.
It only takes a couple of steps in order to register. The first step is to fill out the voter registration application. The second step is to submit the application to your county election office.
Applications for Mississippi residents need to be completed by Saturday, October 8th at noon. Harrison County Circuit Clerk Connie Ladner said, “You can go to ‘y’all voting,’ which is also linked from the county website, it links you to the secretary of state website to the ‘y’all voting’ app, which allows you to change your information online without having to come in or fill out a form and mail it in. There’s so many ways to register.”
There are some requirements you must follow in order to vote in the state of Mississippi. Voters must be a U.S. citizen, 18-years-old by Election Day and live at a Mississippi address. A valid photo I.D. is also required to vote.
