“National Donut Day” with the Salvation Army

The Salvation Army thanked our veterans with free coffee and a donut at the Biloxi Visitor’s Center to celebrate “National Donut Day”. This tradition actually goes back to the first world war. “Salvation Army Lassies” served donuts to soldiers on the front lines in Europe more than 100 years ago, in 1917.  Today, members from the community came out in full force to keep the tradition going.
