National Cemetery wreath pick-up

Volunteers made their way to Biloxi National Cemetery early on Saturday to honor those who gave back to their country.

Nearly 22,000 wreaths were collected from graves by volunteers and loaded into trucks where they will be stored and used for the next wreath-laying ceremony.

Tristian Pearson volunteered with members of the Biloxi High baseball team and says that helping to pick up wreaths is one way he shows respect for veterans who have gone before us. “I mean, just to take a look and see how many graves are out here and how many people sacrificed themselves, there’s no problem coming out here and doing this for them.”
