Nancy Depreo wins Diamondhead special mayoral election

The City of Diamondhead has a new mayor after a special election Tuesday.

Councilwoman Nancy Depreo received the most votes in the special mayoral election, edging out Richard Willis for a crucial spot to fill as city leaders continue to build towards the future of Diamondhead.

After the unexpected loss of Mayor Tommy Schafer back in July, the city has been without a mayor for several months.
