NAACP asks FBI to revisit Toussaint Diamon Sims case in Moss Point

The Jackson County NAACP announced today that they’ve asked the FBI to revisit and reopen the case of Toussaint Diamon Sims, the man who died in an officer-involved shooting in Moss Point last August.

Jackson County NAACP President Curley Clark tells News 25 a string of officer-involved shootings across the country has sparked a renewal of interest in the case.

Following an investigation, a Jackson County grand jury returned a no-true bill in the matter, clearing the Moss Point police officer involved of any wrongdoing.

However, Clark says the case is a classic example of excessive force and asks the FBI to perform an expedited investigation.
