N.O.L.A. Fashion Week Comes to Gulfport for Models
Fashion Week officials will be at the Gulfport Premium Outlets in Gulfport Saturday, January 24th from 3 to 5 p.m. looking for models for this year’s show. Anyone interested should wear all black and very light, if any makeup, so designers can view potential models as a blank canvas for their art. Men and women of any experience level are invited, and the winner of the walk off contest will win a trip to Los Angeles to be seen by some of the country’s top agents. The show’s creative director tells News 25 models have nothing to lose by trying out.
Tracee Dundas, Founder and Creative Director of N.O.L.A. Fashion Week, says, “We’re not gonna’ bite you. Come on out and I try to be a little transparent or very truthful with everyone who comes out, so I may see a beautiful girl who is only 5’2”, and I’ll try to give her some guidance along the way because I think there is opportunity for everyone in this market.”
Designers are asking women to be at least 5’7” and men to be at least 5’11”. Some designers are also looking for plus size models. For more information, or to fill out an entry form, you can visit www.fashion weeknola.com.
