Mystic Krewe of the Seahorse Parade rolls through Bay St. Louis

On this Lundi Gras, the only parade letting the good times roll resides in Bay St. Louis at the annual Mystic Krewe of the Seahorse Parade.

Despite the cold weather, locals filled the streets ready to enjoy the festivities. The unique feature about this parade is instead of traditional floats, krewe members decked out golf carts that resemble pirate attire.

Old and new locals in Bay St. Louis tell News 25 what they enjoy about Mardi Gras.  “Seeing people you know and just catching beads and having just an overall good time.”

“Just having fun with my kids and stuff.”

“I’ve never actually had a king cake before until I came to school near Mardi Gras.”

Visitors from Ohio, Tennessee and Missouri tells News 25 southern hospitality is a real thing as locals made sure they had enough beads to last a lifetime.
