Murder Trial Set For Long Beach Officer
A trial date has been set for the Long Beach police officer charged with second degree murder after leaving her daughter in a hot car. Cassie barker’s trial is set to begin in Hancock County on April 8th of next year. Barker’s daughter, three year LD Cheyenne, was found dead in her mother’s patrol car on September 30th of 2016, after police say she was left there for hours while her mother was inside the home of one of her supervisors. Barker was originally charged with manslaughter before a grand jury indictment upped her charges in September.
