MSU’s Vic Schaefer ‘beaming’ over St. Martin’s Daphane White

It’s safe to assume Coach Schaefer has made his fair share of stops in the 228 for some recruiting trips of his own. St. Martin standout Daphane White signed to play with Mississippi State back in November and she’ll be part of the rebuilding process following back-to-back appearances in the national title game.

MSU’s four graduating players make up the best senior class in school history, but there’s still plenty of talent left in Starkville, exhibit A being Teaira McCowan.  White slides right in as her freshman prodigy. “It’s a great class, Top 10 in the country. We’re excited about Daphane from St. Martin. Any kid that can score 69 points, get 37 rebounds and 16 blocked shots in a game, you better be excited about her. And obviously you can tell talking to me now, I’m beaming ear-to-ear about her. So we’re set up now for the future inside. And so like I said, we’re a little used to playing in that last game, we’re going to keep trying to get there,” said Coach Schaefer.

Daphane White is a five star recruit according to ESPN as the 45th ranked player in the country and the sixth at her position.
