MSU interim head man named Coach of the Year
Some more high praise for interim head man Gary Henderson who has been named Coach of the Year by the National College Baseball Writers Association.
This is the second such award for Henderson after being tabbed for the like from Perfect Game and Rawlings.
Henderson is deserving of every accolade that comes his way after leading the Bulldogs to their first College World Series since 2013 and their tenth in program history.
Those Diamond Dawgs are 24-12 since the start of April and 10-1 against top five teams.
In Hattiesburg, the post-season baseball honors just keep rolling in for the likes of Nick Sandlin and Matt Wallner.
They’ve both been selected as All-Americans by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings. Sandlin to the first-team and Wallner to the third.
