MSDH reports 3,763 cases of COVID-19 and 71 deaths through the three-day period

Today, MSDH is reporting an additional 3,763 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 71 deaths for the three-day period running from September 10th through September 12th.

Fifty-three of these deaths occurred between September 2nd and September 11th. An additional 18 deaths occurred between August 2nd and September 5th, identified from death certificate reports.

Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases is now 464,075 with 8,976 deaths.

MSDH is also reporting the percentage of residents in each county who have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccines:

  • Harrison County: 42 percent
  • Hancock County: 33 percent
  • Jackson County: 41 percent
  • Pearl River County: 35 percent
  • Stone County: 42 percent
  • George County: 38 percent
