MS Power Watson Plant donates bikes to Salvation Army
Mississippi Power is back at it again, reaching out a hand to help the community.
This morning, Mississippi Power Watson Plant rolled in with a trailer full at the Salvation Army Kroc Center to make a substantial donation. Every year they donate bikes to the Salvation Army through their Angel Tree program.
They make sure there are bikes for boys and girls of every age group. This year, they donated a grand total of 70 bikes that will go to needy families on the Coast this Christmas.
Which for the workers at Plant Watson is the whole reason they put their hard-earned money to this project. Plant Watson Maintenance Specialist Levi Redmond said, “We feel like we are all blessed with a wonderful opportunity to work for Mississippi Power and we are able to provide for our families, like we would like to every holiday season. We know there are families out there that are struggling and we want to do our part to help better the community and that’s what we look forward to every year.”
