Moss Point shooting suspect wanted

Moss Point police are actively looking for the man behind a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon at 4827 Tanner Street.

The suspect is believed to be 30-year-old David Jones. He’s described as a 5’7 160 pound black male. He currently has an outstanding felony arrest warrant for aggravated assault and is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Moss Point police tell News 25 they were called out to the scene just before 4 p.m. They received a call from a victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg. Moss Point police were able to locate and recover the weapon Jones used. They found a stolen rifle in a residence on Lilly Circle.
