Moss Point Police Looking for Suspects in Cat Abuse Case

On December 13, 2016, the Moss Point Police Department was contacted regarding a video that went viral of animal cruelty.

Investigators conducted a follow up investigation which revealed the crime was committed at 6237 Henry Street, Moss Point, and evidence associated with the crime was collected from there. The deceased cat was found not far from where the incident occurred. Autopsy revealed, the cat suffered Thermal Burns over the majority of its body. The investigator is focused on identifying the owner of the cat and locating the woman who said she recorded the video, and then posted on social media. The suspects involved will be charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animal (Cat or Dog). This investigation is ongoing.
