Moss Point Mayor Mario King meets with board of aldermen
Last week, Moss Point Mayor Mario King and his wife, Natasha, were battling federal charges.
On Tuesday in Moss Point, there was a meeting between Mayor King and the aldermen. At the meeting, it was voted on and passed that the word ‘rejuvenate’ would be removed from all city property.
Alderman Wayne Lennep comments on why this decision was made. “Just wanted to make sure there is no connection, no appearance of connection. Because that word is used in the indictment. There is no connection but we didn’t want to give any appearance of a connection.”
The mayor will still be continuing on with his duties as normal since these are only allegations. Lennep also comments that “is all personal to the mayor, we are focusing on the city and doing our jobs as aldermen.”
