MOSS POINT FEMALE POWER LIFTERS TO COMPETE IN MARCH

When is the last time you lifted twice your weight or more? Well, a group of young ladies from Moss Point High School lift extremely heavy weights every day… and they are getting some recognition.
The Moss Point girls power lifting team is on their way to the south state competition. They will be defending their title, because they have won the competition for the past three years. The team was formed five years ago.
Kyle Mickleson the head girls power lifting coach says, “It’s a big deal one of the things we try to teach the girls is to instill values, perseverance and that winning mentality and through hard work they have shown what they can and can’t do. They work literally all year around to get ready for those one or two meets that they get the opportunity to compete in and hopefully they will bring home another championship.”
The competition will take place in Velma Jackson on March 7th. Twelve girls will be competing in the event.
