Moss Point alderman Linwood Grierson passes away

After a brief illness, Moss Point Alderman Linwood Grierson passed away last night at the age of 62.
Linwood represented the Escatawpa area of Moss Point. He was elected as an alderman in 2013. His sudden illness kept him from campaigning and he was not re-elected.
Grierson did a lot of work to support bringing the Pascagoula River Audubon Center to Moss Point.
Alderman Wayne Lennep made an announcement of his death on Facebook on Sunday, saying it was a pleasure to serve with Grierson and that he will be dearly missed in the community.
