Molina Healthcare to expand footprint in Mississippi in 2021

Molina Healthcare of Mississippi (“Molina”) on Monday announced that the company will expand its Health Insurance Marketplace footprint (also known as Exchange) from 19 counties to all 82 counties in the state, effective Jan. 1, 2021.

In addition to the Exchange, Molina serves Medicaid members through MississippiCAN and the state’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), according to a press release.

“We are excited to offer Mississippians more options when it comes to selecting a Marketplace plan,” said Bridget Galatas, president of Molina Healthcare of Mississippi. “With this Marketplace expansion, Molina will offer all product lines statewide, reflecting our commitment to providing comprehensive and affordable health coverage.”

Molina’s competitively priced Marketplace plans include free preventive care services, such as screenings, family planning and preventive drugs, as well as easy access to a wide network of doctors and hospitals. Molina Marketplace plans also include telemedicine services that provide 24/7 access to quality doctors for the same low copay as a primary care visit.

The open enrollment period for Marketplace in Mississippi begins November 1 and runs through December 15 for a membership effective date of January 1, 2021. Those interested in enrolling can visit for more information.
