Mobile food pantry offering free meal in Moss Point

If you are in the Moss Point area on Saturday and are in need of a meal, the Life and Deliverance Ministries has you covered.

The ministries partnered with Feeding the Gulf Coast and will be offering a free meal to residents through their mobile pantry. Starting at 10:30 a.m., they plan to feed one hundred people a meal that includes meat and vegetables.  The meal is on a first come, first serve basis.

April Martin, minister of the ministries, says they saw a need in the community and wanted to help. “Especially right now, it is important with the possibility of different assistances shutting down because of the government shutdown so we have a lot of people of course that come from the community to worship at our church. We want to reach back out to them and help them. We don’t have a lot of food banks in the area so we want to be able to at least come and serve the food out to them.”
