MLB Spring Training Roundup

A little taste of spring training for the pride of Harrison Central, but Bobby Bradley’s time in the Cactus League has come to an end.

Today, the former Red Rebel was optioned back to Triple-A Columbus by the Cleveland Indians after going just 0-6 with two RBI.

As Cleveland’s top power hitting prospect, Bradley raked 27 home runs last season, but recently missed time with a sprained right shoulder.

As it pertains to Biloxi, former Shuckers pitcher Freddy Peralta was in top form on Friday, striking out four across four scoreless innings.

He’s battling for a rotation spot with other former Shuckers Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff.

Finally, former Southern Miss quarterback, Ole Miss safety Anthony Alford is a Toronto Blue Jays prospect now, unloading not one, but two home runs off Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Trevor Williams today.  He went to Petal High School near Hattiesburg and now has three home runs this spring training.
