JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – The Mississippi medical examiner’s office has suspended the license of a Gulf Coast coroner.
Mississippi Forensics Laboratory Director Sam Howell wrote in a letter that Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk’s license was suspended Tuesday.
Howell said the reason was “potential failure to comply” with mandatory reporting requirements to the Department of Child Protection Services and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
Faulk said he hadn’t been contacted by anyone at the state or county about his license being suspended. He said he has contacted a lawyer, and that the allegations are “just a bunch of speculation.”
