Mississippi State dominant vs. Kentucky

Mississippi State won its second game in a row on Saturday, dominating Kentucky in all phases of its 45-7 victory.
The Bulldogs were led by none other than junior Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald who accounted for 270 total yards and three touchdowns. He also went over 2,000 career rushing yards in the process, becoming just the sixth SEC signal caller to ever reach that plateau.
The MSU defense was stingy as usual, shutting down the opposition from the second quarter on while the offense scored 38 unanswered to close out the game. Head Coach Dan Mullen said, “I thought all three phases had a very solid day, in all three phases against a really good team.”
“Oh, it’s huge. It’s huge. Any time you can play in front of your home crowd, homecoming against an SEC opponent and get a big win like that it’s spectacular. It’s great. Now we’ve got to just turn our view ahead to an away game,” said Fitzgerald.
That away game will be at Texas A&M with kickoff slated for 6:15 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN.
