Mississippi State dancing for first time in 10 years

The other Bulldogs are dancing as well with the Mississippi State men’s team drawing a five seed on selection Sunday.

MSU will take on 12 seed Liberty in a first round game out of the east region, representing the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2009.

The Bulldogs are coming off a run to the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament with an overall record of 23-10.

Welcome back to March Madness Head Coach Ben Howland.  “This is the greatest sporting event in all of sport in America. I mean there’s so much excitement about the NCAA Tournament, and one of the big reasons is there’s so many upsets. You see the little guy so often, more often than we ever expect beating like last year, the UMBC win over Virginia was unbelievable. The first time it’s ever happened, a 16-1 upset. And that’s what makes this so exciting.”

Mississippi State and Liberty will commence the madness on Friday with a 6:27 p.m. tipoff on TruTV.
