Mississippi Primary Election is August 6th

Here is some information you might find useful in regards to Tuesday’s Primary Election Day.

Polls open to voters throughout the state next Tuesday, August 6th. You can vote from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You’ll need to bring a photo ID with you to vote, but keep your phone in your purse or pocket. Voters are not allowed to take pictures of their marked ballots.

The in-person absentee voting deadline is Saturday, August 3rd. Circuit Clerk’s Offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday for absentee voting.

If you need to make sure you’re heading to the right precinct to cast your vote, you can check out the secretary of state’s website at www.yallvote.sos.ms.gov and click on the polling place locator.
