Nearly half of energy costs come from a home’s heating and cooling system. To help manage home energy usage, Mississippi Power customers can visit the Mississippi Power Marketplace to take advantage of an instant rebate on a smart thermostat. The online marketplace also offers rebates on things like window AC units and serves as a one stop shop for additional energy saving tools.

Customers can check their availability for rebates and incentives, enroll in Budget Billing and stay informed on the latest energy efficiency tips.
To start building better energy habits this summer, Mississippi Power recommends the following:
- Bump up your thermostat to the highest comfortable degree to increase energy savings.
- Replace your air filter to ensure your heating and cooling system is running efficiently and not using excess energy.
- Seal air leaks and gaps around windows and doors to keep cool air inside your home.
- Turn lights and fans off in unoccupied rooms.
- Use small appliances like crockpots or air fryers when you can.
- Unplug any electronics or chargers not in use.
