Mississippi Power Crews To Assist Georgia Power In Wake Of Hurricane Matthew

Mississippi power storm crews are answering the call to help our neighbors to the east.

Tomorrow morning a team of 75 line personnel and 18 support members will leave to aid Georgia Power with restoration efforts in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.

The storm has already caused widespread power outages in Florida and those same outages are expected to affect Georgia over the weekend.
Mississippi Power’s storm team is preliminary assigned to Georgia’s coastal region, but that is subject to change, depending on the storm’s path and impact.
