Mississippi National Guard heading to border

Troops from the Mississippi National Guard are conducting pre-mobilization training near Tupelo before heading south to patrol our nation’s border.

The 114th Aviation Regiment will spend approximately three weeks supporting Operation Guardian Support, a joint task force effort to conduct security operations along the U.S. southwest border with Mexico.

They will provide aerial surveillance support to the U.S. Customers and Border Protection and the U.S. Border Patrol using three UH72 Lakota helicopters.
