Mississippi Gulf Coast Softball Classic

The 2016 Mississippi Gulf Coast Softball Classic that went on over the weekend has officially wrapped up.

It was a chance for sports fans on the gulf coast to enjoy some NCAA softball.

The classic was at the Gulfport sportsplex starting on Friday and ending yesterday.

Eleven different division one softball teams representing seven conferences played four or five games.

South-eastern Louisiana University catcher Lacy Fritz tells News 25 the weekend was full of worthy competition.
