Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves to outline hospital surge plans in briefing Monday afternoon

(WXXV) — Governor Tate Reeves will brief the media on Mississippi’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic from Jackson on Monday afternoon.

He is expected to provide a details on surge plans for hospitals becoming overwhelmed by patients experiencing coronavirus symptoms.

In a Tweet posted Monday morning, Gov. Reeves said “The faith, calm, and loving spirit demonstrated by so many Mississippians during a tragedy like this is truly humbling. You are daily motivating me to try and reflect your grit, humility, and courage.”

Gov. Reeves will broadcast the briefing on social media beginning at 2:30 p.m.
