Mississippi Coast Coliseum unveils lighting upgrades

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Coast Coliseum is shining a little brighter.

Officials have unveiled a major lighting and security upgrade at the coliseum, highlighted by a new color-changing LED system on the building’s exterior.

The lights can be customized for concerts, sporting events, holidays, awareness campaigns, and other special occasions, creating a new visual landmark along Highway 90 and Popp’s Ferry Road.

The project also includes upgraded LED lighting throughout the parking lots and grounds to improve visibility and guest safety.

The new lighting system will make its public debut during the Coast’s America 250 celebration over the Fourth of July weekend.
