Mississippi Center for Autism receives donation

The Mississippi Center for Autism has been helping people on the Coast since 2005. Today, they received a little bit of help from a local bank.

Merchant & Marine Bank presented a $1,400 check to the Mississippi Center for Autism today. The center sees around 80 children with autism everyday. They also work in many local public school systems.

This check will help the center with renovations and to purchase some supplies for the children. Autism Center President Dr. Alfred E. McNair said, “Very seldom can you find a family that in this state or in this country that is not affected by autism, it is very common. We just appreciate the fact that the bank is willing to make a contribution to the center to help us with these children.”
