Miranda Duke Pleads Guilty to Sexual Battery with a Minor

Miranda Duke of Pascagoula pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual battery from 2013. The victim was 13-years-old at the time.
Judge Kathy Jackson sentenced Duke on each of the three counts of sexual battery to serve 12 years.
District Attorney Tony Lawrence released a statement, saying: “This defendant violated the trust this family placed in her when they allowed her to be around their child. Adults should protect children, not use them to satisfy their depraved sexual desires.”
Upon release, Duke will be required to register as a sex offender.
