Military Leaders Come Together
Military leaders across the Coast stood together to update the community about their bases at the annual Coast Centurion Association Meeting.
Representatives from Keesler Air Force Base as well as the Reserve Command, the Seabee Base and Air National Guard Combat Readiness Training Center addressed the crowd. The Keesler Division Street gate, deployment numbers and community outreach were all discussed from each official.
Military leaders tell News 25 this annual event gives them an opportunity to directly communicate with the public. Commanding Officer for NCBC Captain Cheryl Hansen said, “It’s very unique to the Gulf Coast, at least from my perspective. This is the first time in my life where I’ve experienced this kind of support for the military and I think it’s incredibly important to our mission and our ability to conduct the mission here.”
The meeting was hosted by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce.
