Military and Civilian Job Fair

This morning, Coast veterans got a chance to show local employers they’re the right person for the job.

Veterans filed into the Biloxi Civic Center early this morning for the Spring Southern Region Military and Civilian Job Fair. The fair was open to everyone, but only veterans were allowed in for the first 30 minutes. Dozens of employers from Waffle House to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department met with veterans and civilians.

For veterans, they tell News 25 the skills they learn while defending our country makes them a valuable asset to a business. Veteran Felix Cunningham said, “It’s great. Veterans are getting out of the military with their MOS’. They can come and give the same discipline, the same management and supervisor skills that they earn in the military to the public and to companies that want to grow and succeed in today’s society.”
