Mike Guerrero returning to Shuckers
By nature, the Minor League Baseball system is comprised of a lot of coming and going, mostly by the players and sometimes by the coaches as well. For the third year in a row, the Biloxi Shuckers have some stability at the top.
Today, the double A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers announced that Mike Guerrero would be returning to Biloxi for a third season. In his first two years with the team, Guerrero led the Shuckers to an overall record of 142-134 and eclipsed one thousand career wins as a manager back in 2016.
This will mark Guerrero’s 31st season in baseball and his 30th with the Brew Crew organization as a player or coach.
Joining Guerrero on the Coast is a mixed bag of old and new, starting with returning coach Chuckie Caufield as well as newcomers Al Le-Boeuf and Dave Chavarria. Other familiar faces are athletic trainer Kevin Creighton and strength and conditioning specialist Nate Dine.
