MGCCF Offering Scholarships

A local non-profit organization is doing its part to help Coast residents continue their education.
Gulf Coast Community Foundation is offering 18 scholarships to all types of students for the upcoming year. Since 2005, the foundation has awarded over 1,500 scholarships to local students totaling over $1 million. The scholarships range in amount and requirements and they also range in the type of student that can apply. Sam Evans with the Gulf Coast Community Foundation said, “We’re lucky that we have such a diverse donor group. We’ve really got scholarships for any type of student. There’s scholarships for the non-traditional student that’s looking to go back to school. There’s scholarships for students who are looking for two-year degrees heading on the technical path. There’s also scholarships for run of the mill high school students looking for the traditional four year higher education.”
The deadline is March 31st. For more information and to find the applications for the scholarships you can visit
