MGCCC baseball signing day: Brandon Parker Alden Davis going division I
During his freshman year at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Brandon Parker took the junior college baseball world by storm.
The West Harrison alum is now capitalizing on that momentum as a sophomore by signing with a perennial power in the division I ranks.
This afternoon, Parker signed with Dallas Baptist University, coming off its fifth consecutive 40 win season.
In 2018, the former Hurricane was crowned NJCAA national player of the year for blasting a program-record 24 home runs, good for second in the nation and racking up 81 RBI, the most in the entire nation.
Joining him at the division I level is teammate Alden Davis who put pen to paper with the Jaguars of South Alabama.
