Meth drug bust in Hancock County

Four people have been arrested in Hancock County for allegedly transporting meth from Texas to South Carolina.
At 4 a.m. this morning, a Hancock County criminal interdiction agent conducted a stop with a 2017 Jeep Cherokee on I-10 eastbound. The agent discovered eight pounds of meth inside the vehicle and the street value is believed to range from $80,000 to $100,000.
The driver, Erick Contreras, a U.S. citizen, along with three passengers who are illegal aliens, 31-year-old Diana Sorto, 33-year-old Manuel Pulido-Rodas, and 24-year-old Erik Betancourt-Olguin, are all being charged federally for the meth.
