Men Charged With Armed Robbery In D’Iberville

Today, March 11, 2016, Chief of Police Wayne Payne announced the arrest of Jaquell Green, 18, of D’Iberville, Alloyshious Bennett, 18, from Biloxi and two juveniles on the charge of Armed Robbery.

D’Iberville Police Captain Marty Griffin said a patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on Lamey Bridge Road south of the Rivers Edge Subdivision due to it being driven erratically and operating without headlights. During the traffic stop, officers received a call from a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver who reported just being robbed at gunpoint after a delivery in the Rivers Edge Subdivision. Evidence recovered from the traffic stop led to the arrest of all four of the individuals. No one was injured and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.  The investigation is ongoing.

Captain Griffin said Green, Bennette and the juveniles were booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a bond of $100,000 each set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain pending and initial appearance. The juveniles were being housed at the Adult Detention Center due to the severity of the crime.
