Memorial Hospital hosted drive-up hiring event for qualified healthcare workers

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the need for qualified healthcare workers is always present.

That’s why Memorial Hospital held a drive-up hiring event this afternoon as a way to fill open positions. The event was held in partnership with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital and all applicants had to do was drive up to the front entrance of the hospital to speak with staff members and present their resumes.

Sandra Vincent with Memorial’s Human Resources Department says the hospital is growing and a wide range of job postings are usually available. “We’re growing, we consistently will be needing either full time positions, part time plus twenty, we offer benefits in those two areas, we have PRN positions, we are here to obviously support you, your family commitments, and we’ll go ahead and work with that schedule as well.”

With the job fair’s emphasis on clinical positions, staff members say the applicants they spoke to came prepared and eager to network.  Memorial Physician Clinics Clinical Director Lorri Lemoine said, “They have been ready bringing resumes in, contact information, we’ve given them our contact information, we’re excited about following up with them and we look forward to possibly having bunch of new folks join our team.”

If you missed today’s event, you can still check out job postings at
