Memorial Hospital continues their fight against COVID

Memorial Hospital continues to fight their battle against COVID-19 one vaccine at a time.

Saturday, Team Memorial partnered with the Keesler Federal Credit Union to host another pop-up vaccine site.

The team says they are continuing to host these events to help give easy access to vaccines for the public.

With the number of COVID patients continuing to rise, the hospital continues to remind people that the vaccine is not only safe, but also helpful in fighting the virus.

The team at Keesler Federal Credit Union is looking to host more vaccine pop-ups for the public. Keesler Federal Credit Union Chief Operating Officer George Mitchell said, “We’re excited to be able to do this. I hope we can do it a few more times if we can get Gulfport Memorial out here. You know, the purpose of Keesler Federal Credit Union is to build a better community and we look at keeping public health top of mind as being a major contribution. So, we’re happy to partner with the experts. We’re happy to have these guys here today.”

Memorial Hospital will host another pop-up site this Thursday at the Port of Gulfport main gate parking lot.

Both first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be offered.
