Mema Director Responds To FEMA Funding

The Mississippi emergency management agency’s director is responding to a federal audit recommending FEMA take back nearly all three point five million dollars in grants given to hope academy after Katrina. Director Lee Smithson wrote an op-ed column noting FEMA has not cut any money allocated for Hope Academy and expects to finish its review by the end of January. Smithson also added the grants were made before he became MEMA Director and he has increased coordination among the agency’s divisions.
