Mega Millions jackpot sees another increase

One lucky winner could start off 2021 with a little extra cash in their pocket as the Mega Millions jackpot just jumped again ahead of tonight’s drawing.

After Friday’s Mega Millions drawing didn’t produce a ticket that matched all six numbers, the jackpot has continued to grow.

As of 11 a.m. this morning the Mega Millions jackpot made another jump to an estimated $625 million, eclipsing $600 million for just the fourth time in history.

Here’s what a few Stop and Geaux customers said they would do if they were the lucky Mega Millions winners. Gulfport resident Chris Daniels said, “If I was fortunate enough to win that kind of money, I would first take care of all of my family members, and there’s a lot of them. And then I would do whatever the wife told me to do with the rest.”

Gulfport residents Glenn Nance and Michelle Nance said, “We would definitely pay our house off. And we have four grandchildren, so that would be amazing. She’s the lucky one. I’m not. So, I’m going to let her but the ticket. Because I’m not very lucky. I don’t question it.”

Tomorrow there’s another chance to become a multi-millionaire. The Powerball jackpot remains at $550 million, bringing the combined prize money from both games to over $1 billion.
