Mayor Hugh Keating honors Ship Island Excursions, Skrmetta family for 100 years of service
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Mayor Hugh Keating honored Ship Island Excursions with a proclamation on Tuesday.
Mayor Keating honored the Skrmetta family for 100 years of business.
The community came out, honoring the family who offered transport to and from Ship Island.
A special placard was also presented, sharing the history of the service.
The 2026 season started on March 14.
