Mayor Dane Maxwell responds to Nate

The storm hit Mississippi as a category one hurricane, but weakened later to a tropical storm as it moved inland.
Pascagoula was one of the many cities who felt the impact of the strong sustained winds. However Mayor Dane Maxwell said the city fared pretty well in the storm.
He also told News 25 that he was thankful residents listened to the curfew. “We had quite a bit of debris fallen and we got some erosion problems and some infrastructure issues but hey we went through this thing and no lives were lost. No water rescues last night thank God. So now it is time to clean up so we got several thousand more houses that need electricity.”
