Matt Buckley Hired as St.Patrick Catholic High School principal

BILOXI – Matt Buckley, current assistant principal at St. Patrick Catholic High School, has been hired as the new principal.

Buckley’s hiring was announced to faculty and staff earlier today.

“We are very excited about the future of St. Patrick Catholic High School.  Mr. Buckley is committed to Catholic education and will be a tremendous leader for the school,” said   Dr. Rhonda Clark, associate superintendent of education for the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi.

Buckley, a native of Jones County, has served as assistant principal at St. Patrick for the past three years. Prior to that, he taught English on both the high school and junior high levels.

“I’m very honored that I would be considered for the job. Being at St. Patrick has been a huge blessing in my life and I can’t imagine any place else that I would rather be,” said Buckley, who holds an educational specialist degree from Liberty University, and is currently pursuing his doctorate in education.

“I’m excited about the future of the school. We have a lot of great things happening and a lot of great people on board.”
