Mark Ingram suspended four games
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram had the best year of his career in 2017 as a part of the first NFL backfield in more than four decades to generate two pro bowlers. As it stands now, Ingram will be starting his eighth season away from the team.
Today, the former Heisman Trophy winner was suspended for the first four games of the 2018 season for violating the NFL’s policy on performance enhancing drugs.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network was first to break the story. According to his report, Ingram knew about his suspension prior to the NFL draft back in April, but found out today that he didn’t win his appeal.
Ingram is entering the final year of his contract and is seeking a new deal following his second straight one thousand year season to go along with 12 touchdowns.
