Mark Everson on GOP Presidential Race

The presidential race was shaken up after two candidates announced their campaign suspension.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz withdrew his candidacy on Tuesday. Ohio Governor John Kasich officially announced his campaign suspension this afternoon. This leaves Donald Trump as the sole Republican candidate for the 2016 presidential race.
Former presidential candidate Mark Everson stopped by our studio today to weigh in on the race for the White House. “We’re going to have a very colorful contest, I would suggest, between Mrs. Clinton in the fall and Mr. Trump. She represents Wall Street money and political muscle and he represents celebrity and self-promotion. We’ll see how the American people deal with it but right now they seem to like neither of the candidates.”
Everson tells News 25 with two polarizing contenders, he would not be surprised if a solid third party candidate emerges in the near future.
