Marine Educator Workshop
Over the course of four days principals, teachers, counselors and members of the press from the Mississippi area received a civilian glimpse of the “Makings Of A United States Marine”.
Educators experienced the difficult and demanding requirements of boot camp training as they stepped into the boots of a recruit during a 4-day workshop in Parris Island, South Carolina.
The group of 40 had the opportunity to interact with current recruits, shoot weapons, witness marine’s traditions and feel what it’s like to be under the constant command of a drill instructor.
The workshop ended with educators witnessing the emotions of a graduation ceremony.
